The fire broke out at 8:37 o’clock in the morning and spread so fast traveling throughout the plant. Firefighters throughout Indiana and neighboring counties came to help put out the flames.. Firefighters were battling the smoky blaze of a commercial printing company in Indiana County the whole part of Tuesday morning.

After a call was made, the crews immediately responded to help put out the fire engulfing Creps United Publications. The printing plant is located at Philadelphia Street in White Township. The fire was so massive that smoke could be seen for miles.

Moreau said the fire inside the plant was so intense that a portion of it collapsed due to the heat of the fire. Firefighters had contained the fire by afternoon and were trying to extinguish remaining hot spots by smothering them with foam.

State police fire marshal Timothy Frew said that the plant is likely to be declared a total loss. However, he said he will be inspecting the damage of the plant and will probably be able to make a report in another day or two.

A total of four firefighters were injured today while they were trying to extinguish a blaze that gutted the Creps United Publications printing plant in White Township. The two firefighters were injured when the hose broke and they were both hit in the face; the third firefighter suffered minor burns while a fourth member sustained unspecified injuries.

According to spokesman for the Indiana Fire Association, Ron Moreau, the identities of the injured, the nature and extent of their injuries were unavailable.

About 50 employees were inside the building when the fire broke out; fortunately no civilians were injured.
